Located in the historic Crockett building just across the street from the Alamo, the City of San Antonio's Convention and Visitors Bureau operates the Official Visitor Information Center. The Official Visitor Information Center is staffed by friendly, professional expert staff with many years of experience and is the perfect location to start a visit to San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. The staff provides free trip planning services and assistance, such as maps, brochures, and pre-planned itineraries; recommendations on dining, festivals and events, transportation options as well as information on Mp3 walking tours of downtown.

Visitors can also take advantage of great savings and discounts to major theme parks, museums, outdoor adventures, other attractions, and area hotels through our San Antonio Vacation Experience (S.A.V.E.) Program. S.A.V.E. brochures are available at the Official Visitor Information Center. Visitors can also purchase the San Antonio & Beyond Pre-Paid Pass and save up to 48% on top attractions.

Visitors to the Official Visitor Information Center can browse through an exceptional assortment of gifts, books, apparel, collectibles, and souvenirs. Over 2,000 different items, including exclusive San Antonio branded items.

Open seven days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Extended service hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the summer until 6:00pm.

The Official Visitor Information Center is closed on New Year's Day, Fiesta Battle of Flowers Parade (Friday), Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
